Hospital operator Community Health Systems Inc. said Monday that its CHS/Community Health Systems Inc. subsidiary signed a deal to extend by two and a half years the maturity of $1.5 billion in credit.
The new maturity date is now Jan. 25, 2017.
The company said the maturity date of the rest of its $4.5 billion in term loans is unchanged at July 25, 2014. Pricing and certain other terms were modified, however.
Shares of Community Health Systems rose 46 cents to $32.71 in afternoon trading.
