Software developer Labtiva Inc. has secured $2 million in equity financing, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Headquartered at startup incubator Dogpatch Labs in Cambridge, the company is developing research management tools for the life sciences and academic literature industries.
According to the careers page on the company’s website, the initial product is both a desktop application and cloud-based web application.
Labtiva was started in 2007 by CEO Robert McGrath and chief scientific officer Sinisa Hrvatin, both Harvard alumni. The site is currently in limited beta.
