The University of Massachusetts Human Stem Cell Bank and Registry and the United Kingdom Stem Cell Bank plan to collaborate on various areas around stem cell categorization, distribution and possible funding for joint research projects, under an agreement signed today in Hertfordshire, England.

The signing of the agreement took place during part of Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick’s Innovation Economy Partnership Mission 2011, which has been touring Israel and Europe in an effort to drum up further collaboration between researchers and companies in those areas and the Bay state, primarily in the life sciences space.
