Innovatient Solutions Inc., a health information startup in Farmington, Conn., has raised $1 million in a funding round led by a $500,000 financing from Connecticut Innovations (CI).

Founded in 2010, Innovatient makes an information system, called nVision Information Therapy Solution, for hospital patients. The system is designed to use TVs in hospital rooms to help patients communicate pain levels, meal preferences and daily medical-related goals. On the hospital provider side, the information will be delivered to computers or handheld devices, according to a news release from CI.
