Wireless Capability Aims to Support Lifestyle of Expanding Senior Population

MobileHelp, a leader in innovative M-PERS or Mobile-Personal Emergency Response System technology, announced today it has begun shipment to customers of its new Cellular Base Station. Announced earlier this year, this new base station requires no landline phone and operates on AT&T’s nationwide cellular network.

The cellular base station is redefining the caregiving and medical alarm industry with the easiest to install system on the market. Simply plug in the power cord and it provides the flexibility of a wireless device with the convenience and capability of a PERS system. A single press of the button immediately sends an alarm to a 24-hour staffed emergency call center where an operator will have instant access to the user’s basic medical history and emergency contacts. The Cellular Base Station will work as an integrated system with MobileHelp’s pendant and wrist button and mobile device, as well as the new myHalo Auto Fall Detect Pendant. This is the first medical alert system with fall detection capability for users with no landline phone.

“MobileHelp’s new Cellular Base Station is the latest in the company’s mission to provide seniors and caregivers with the innovative products that add freedom and peace of mind to their daily lives,” said Robert Flippo, MobileHelp President and CEO.

Other features include an easy to read LCD display that shows date, day of the week, current time, temperature and cellular signal strength. With over 30 hours of back-up battery, easy to understand voice prompts and an easy to use test button, the new Cellular Base Station offers customers the most advanced features in the industry.
