A fitness tracker by Healbe Corp. automatically tracks calories without the need of any manual user input.

The GoBe2 “Smart Life Band” is designed with six sensors, including a 9-axis accelerometer, piezo sensor, gyroscopic and magnetometer, galvanic skin response sensor, impendence sensor, and temperature sensor.

Blood flow and heart rate are monitored by the piezo sensor, fluid levels by the impedance sensor, and activity by the accelerometer.

Calories are measured through the skin.

“FLOW™ Technology uses readings from an impedance sensor, taken several times per minute, to measure your body’s ‘glucose curve’ throughout the day,” according to a Healbe statement.

“After you eat, insulin triggers your cells to absorb glucose and release water. GoBe measures these changes by sending high and low frequency signals through your tissue to determine the fluid volume of your cells. FLOW™ uses this information about your cell’s changing glucose concentrations to measure calorie intake.”

The tracker connects to the Go Be app using Bluetooth 4.0 (BLE) technology.

The design is also a newer model of the company’s first generation device. Updates include more sensors and a different way to measure data by sending tracked data to smartphones and portable devices.

Information can be viewed on either the app (available for both iOS and Android) or website account.

"Everybody is different, and there is no 'normal' when you look at factors that will help individuals lose weight and maintain day-to-day wellness," said Artem Shipitsyn, CEO and co-founder of Healbe. "GoBe 2 improves upon our original device to deliver on the full promise of the 'smart life band' and provides users with a complete picture of their personal health so they can manage their behavior to achieve their health goals."

The device is also water-resistant and has a 48-hour battery life. GoBe 2 will be available on ProductHunt.com in mid-January. Visit www.healbe.com for more information.
