The inert diaphragm valve is a solenoid-operated diaphragm isolation valve designed for use with corrosive or high-purity fluids commonly found in the medical equipment industry. The materials of all surfaces in the flow path are inert and impervious to a wide range of aggressive fluids. Body material choices include Ultem (polyetherimide) and Radel R (polyphenylsulfone). The fluid path is isolated from the solenoid by a diaphragm constructed of either EPDM (ethylene propylene) or Viton GF. Inert diaphragm valves have an equivalent orifice diameter of 0.11 in. and are available in two-way and three-way versions. Maximum supply pressure for two-way and three-way valves is 40 psi and 35 psi respectively.
