APEM Components introduces the P65 series of rotary switches, a high temperature version of APEM’s PT65 dual in-line package (DIP) coded rotary switch. The P65 series is specially designed for high temperature soldering and is ideal for modern assembly processes. The P65 series is used in the automotive, communication, consumer electronics, and defense markets, as well as electrical appliances, industrial automation, and medical, among others.
The P65 series is available in both surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole technology (TH). The contact paths have abrasion-resistant gold plating. With a mechanical lifetime of 30,000 steps, and is available in 4, 6, 10, and 16 positions. The switches are 6.5mm Height, 10 Width and 10 Length.
The P65’s permissible Reflow soldering temperature of 260 °C for 10sec, wave of 280°C for 5sec, and 340°C for 2sec. Standard actuators include arrow-shaped and cross-shaped slots. Additional actuators are available upon request, including spindle, segment wheel, rotary axle, knob, and wheel.
