Multi-Touch Ring Encoder

alt

Grayhill’s Multi-Touch Ring Encoder with Instinct features a touchpad on the device’s surface recognizes multiple finger touches and motions and transmits them via USB to a CPU that decodes the gestures and carries them out on the display. This way, the user gets the benefits of gesture recognition without ever touching the display.

For more precise control, a ring encoder encircles the touchpad and the entire knob can be pressed. The rotary function allows the user to scroll through options and the pushbutton selects the desired setting. With the implementation of the Instinct Ring Encoder, other devices such as joysticks, touchpads, trackballs and pushbuttons can be eliminated.
